Last November 21, we met at the well-known "La Comuna" cafeteria in Girona to test ALTRA´s two best-known trail running shoes: Olympus 5 and the Timp 4. We received the 25 participants, all ready to face each other. to a 7 km route through the mountains of Les Gavarres.

Thanks to the headlamps that PETZL lent us, darkness was not a problem. The Altra Olympus 5, designed for ambitious runners and long distances, and the Altra Timp 4, known for their comfort and cushioning, were put to the test on varied and challenging terrain with over 200m positive!

Miquel, a participant who tested the Altra Olympus 5, tells us that the width of the shoe´s last makes it very comfortable and much more stable. He also explains to us that the grip provided by the sole provides great security on descents.

Clara, on the other hand, had to try the Altra Timp 4 and it seems that she liked them: “I feel like I have a mattress on my feet, they are really very soft!” Not in vain, these shoes have a podium at UTMB.

Upon returning to "La Comuna" after the race, a well-deserved refreshment awaited us with cookies and banana bread. ALTRA surprised us with a super detail: a t-shirt and a cap for each participant. A perfect way to close a great afternoon of trail riding in Girona.

A very fun day to test the performance of ALTRA OLYMPUS 5 and ALTRA TIMP 4, share experiences with other trail lovers and enjoy the beauty of Girona and its mountains.
